I have installed Spip 1.9.2b.

Install went perfect, only to find the private space won’t load some interface images and this doesn’t look good.

Also i get very frecuent "403 Forbiden" messages at random times.

Sometimes a refresh fixes the problems.

I have happily used spip for years, on diferent host environments and I won’t change it, but this time I’m getting crazy.

I tried today Spip 1.7 and it worked fine. No problems arrised. But I desperately need the new features of the latest Spip.

I’m on a shared host.

don’t know if it’s due to that, but i had strange problems due to permissions

try a chmod -R 777 /spip and chmod 644 connect.php (in the config folder)

I’ve tried everything. All permissions were correctly set.

I recently moved my site to a new host that offers SPIP preinstalled. Everything works great now. No problems.
