WYSIWYG and SPIP
There are multiple contributions for that, but they have not yet been translated. The last in date http://www.spip-contrib.net/Integra... integrates FCKeditor.
I tried the google translation which is really "funny" :D
I will try to write the english translation as soon as possible. But the installation is quite simple I think:
- install fckeditor in the root directory of your SPIP site,
- download the file attached to the contribution,
- be sure to save all the original files somewhere as it modify the SPIP "kernel":
- Copy articles_edit.php3, breves_edit.php3 and rubriques_edit.php3 in ecrire/
- Copy fckconfig.js in FCKeditor/
- Copy the directory UserFiles and its subdirs at the root of the SPIP dir and give the writing permissions on these
- Copy the content of these directory in the respective FCKEditor directory:
* connectors\php\ (2 files) to FCKeditor/editor/filemanager/browser/default/connectors/php/
* upload\php\ (2 files) to FCKeditor/editor/filemanager/upload/php/
- If your site is not at the root of your server, adjust:
$Config[’UserFilesPath’] = ’/UserFiles/’ ; to $Config[’UserFilesPath’] = ’/yourSpipSitePath/UserFiles/’ ;
in :
connectors\php\config.php and upload\php\config.php

You didn’t understood me !
I don’t want to use those WYSIWYG editor because they produce HTML.
I need one that produce SPIP’s Typo’s shortcuts
eg : {{{this is a title}}}
and not <h3>this is a WISIWYG title</h3>

Ok, yes...
You could be interested by what have been done there: http://www.spip-contrib.net/ecrire/... (still in french and not yet published)
The author’s added a "live" previsualisation of what you type in the input form for the article. (see the screenshot)
Combined with the (limited) tool bar at the top of each form, this is already really cool and almost what you want, no?
I have not tested it yet, but you mainly have to change ecrire/article_edit.php3.

Somehow I can’t get the article you posted the link to... And I think the editor is actually not a problem.. but I would like to see some script or something that is able to convert eg. RTF into spip txt format.

To access the article, you have to get a login for http://www.spip-contrib.net ... it’s free and having english international contributors would be cool :D (there are already a few Italian and Spanish).
You can see the same principle applied to the forum here: http://mortimer.rezo.net/forum.php3... if you just want to see if it is what you want.
I never tried them, but there are two utiles:
- one script for OpenOffice here (once again, the site is in french, but the script is probably not)
- an application for windows http://www.spipedit.com/article.php... but this one is fully in french :-/

Thanks... I tried the scripts... but no use. What I had in mind is that when I have a rtf document (with bolds and italics etc) I would like to convert it into SPIP txt format (ie { i } {{ b }}) and so on. So far as I understand it has to be done manually and when i have a long document, it is time consuming and very impractical. Is there any way to to it quickly, with macros or smth.
(The OOo macro is btw in french and gives ’runtime error’ in OOo2)

Sorry... the SpipEdit actually does work. I did not realize you have to copy-paste some text into the application. I tried to open the file...

Ok, I missed this one... there is a macro for word here: http://www.spip-contrib.net/Macro-word
the article says that you just have to create a new document with this file, type what you want (or copy paste your rtf), then click on the magic wand under Edit.
this will generate the spip formatting for:
bold/italic font
section headers
urls
tables
lists
footnotes
it will create a new document with the right format and copy it automatically to the clipboard, you just have to paste it into the private area form then.

Thanks... this macro seems to be the best. (Spipedit does not work with footnotes well).

Hi,
it might sound off topic, but... I am using mediawiki, and having a great time. However, editing the text is a kind of dificult.
So... I am looking for some kind of external WYSIWYG editor to make my live easy.
Tanks a lot. mauro.

Maybe you’ll find what you want soon. Spip Typo is a WYSIWYG editor for spip typographic shortcut that runs with the BBComposer.
External links :
- BBComposer homepage : Spip Typo download links is on the Customize section. Spip Typo is only available as a BBComposer extension while it is in béta test. Don’t forget to install the BBComposer before installing Spip Typo.
- Spip Typo on Spip Zone : Actually in french only.

replacing scripts ?

you can see the old script here seo services
I don’t understand what do you mean. Which script do you talk about ? New version of SPIP or customized one ?
If you want to put into the same directory your scripts and spip.php, of course you can.
Anywhay, I also recommand the add-on "Barre Typographique V2" and "Enluminures typographiques"
